After a 545 km ride with Dave Young, from Kimba to Adelaide via the Adelaide Hills, I finally rode into town late this afternoon…
Kevin and Phil rode with us as far as Port Augusta, then Dave and I headed for the hills…
I have covered almost 3 000 km in the last four days, riding from Walpole to Esperance, on to Border Village and Kimba, (crossing the Nullarbor), and then into Adelaide…
The 2nd leg of my Australian tour is now behind me, but not without mishap…
Tomorrow I will see about a new windshield, and may have to fly one in from South Africa judging by the price of things here in Australia…
Today’s ride was the best I have had in Australia, and my thanks to Dave for making it interesting by taking us through the back roads into Adelaide… After the Nullarbor, I was beginning to think I would never see a corner or a twisty again…!!
More about our ride soon…

Make sure you do the Great Ocean Road on your way into Melbourne.
I’m on it Simon….!! You mean the GREAT Ocean Road….!! What a blast, worn tyres and all…!! Woo-Hoo…!! R.
