Arrived in Campbelltown, (just a few dozen kilometres south east of Sydney), after a long day on board a very eager Big Fella…
He’s as happy as Larry with his new tyres, and eager to test them out in all conditions… Which is what we got today….!! High winds, rain showers and biting cold…!!
We covered 840 kms, riding up the coast of Victoria, crossed into New South Wales, then headed north to the Australian Capital Territory to see Canberra, the capital city of this huge country… Not too much going on there, so we rode back into New South Wales and tried to reach Sydney before dark….!! A big ask, and in wet and windy conditions, Sydney proved to be a bridge too far….!! But only just…!!
By the time we turned off the Hume Highway, it was completely dark, and having seen a number of dead Kangaroos and Wombats in the last half hour of the ride, I decided that risking another hour on the road to get to Sydney, was not a good idea at all…!!
Tomorrow, we ride into Sydney, take a few photos, and then ride up the coast for about 600 odd kilometres to get to Grafton, where I will be re-united with my old friends from Swaziland, Neil and Penny Burgess…!! Looking forward to that…!!
I will have covered 2 300 km in three days, and by my reckoning, will have earned a few days rest…!!

I am thrilled that you had a good time with my family bud, I have spoken to Kym who equally enjoyed your company as did the kids. I too am absolutely thrilled that you are going to take up our offer, we are looking so forward to spending time with you on your return and catching up. That will be just awesome.
