Back in the Saddle…

Cowes Week.... What a blast...!!!

I had a major change of plan when I left Luxembourg last week !! Instead of riding through to Amsterdam, I changed course and headed for the United Kingdom…

Flexibility is the keyword when you are attempting to do what the Big Fella and I are doing… An email from a friend in a place close enough to make a detour to, can have you tearing up the plans you made only minutes before… In this case, it was a call to my youngest daughter Robyn, which set a new direction for the Garmin Girl to consider…

Riding through Europe, meeting old friends and enjoying their company and hospitality, makes it difficult to keep my postings up to date…!! I cannot complain though, as I have had the most amazing last few days…!! Spending a very short time with my daughter Robyn in London, was something I will treasure for a long time, and racing a yacht for a few days in Cowes week on the Isle of Wight was an experience I’ll never forget, and for many reasons…!!

I am now on my way to Amsterdam to visit with Michel, who has ridden his bike from Holland to Katmandu in Nepal… Should be an interesting few days ahead…!! I will spend time there getting the site up to date, and planning for my dash to Nordkaap in Norway…

Until then, thanks for all the emails and comments, they are all appreciated…!!

Later Dudes…!!

The crew of SunSail 38 at their posts with a beady-eyed skipper barking orders...!!

P.S. Happy Birthday Mom !!! You are a Mother in a Million, and today’s ride is for you…!! As always, you will be in my thoughts and part of every beat my heart takes today… Love you more with every mile I cover…

We are happy to see that you are on the road again and making your way to Norway. This is your job……and you are taking far too much time off for fun and games!!! LOL

Only joking Ronnie, we are all so proud of what you have achieved so far, and yes, Mom is sitting here with tears running down her cheeks. She sends big loves and hugs to you and misses you terribly. Give Big Fella a hug from us too.

So glad you changed your plans – nothing more important than family and the opportunity for you to spend time with your daughter has made my day. Go well !

Just heard from Robyn, she enjoyed her time with you and was shocked to see how tanned you are from your journey. Glad the two of you had some quality time together.

  • Hi Ronnie,

I cant see the big flla on the yacht ???? He must have been jealous, I am sure the boat could have done with the extra HP.
    Travel well.!
