I was up early this morning to greet this new and auspicious day…
I stood on the beach watching the sun come up and making wishes that were carried away on the early morning breeze that was coming off the Atlantic Ocean…
Sunrise over the Atlantic… A wonderful start to this very important day….
When I set out to ride around the world almost three years ago, with only the Big Fella as my companion, I can assure you that we did not think our journey would end here on the shores of New Jersey…!!
More importantly, I never dared to dream that it would end in the loving arms of such an amazing woman…
The house which we have rented in Sea Bright, a short distance from the beach on which we will be married in just a few hours time…
I have ridden to the ends of the earth (literally…!!) to find someone who became the catalyst for change in my life, and in Patricia I found just that…
I look forward to a long and happy life with her, and may all the Gods, whoever and wherever they may be, smile down upon us, as we enter this new world together…
The Big Fella is waiting downstairs, to carry me triumphantly on the short ride to Sandy Hook later this afternoon… I thought it fitting that he should be there on what is one of the most important days of my life…
Hopefully by tomorrow this time, I will be able to post photos of the happy event…!!
To all the people who have sent so many messages of congratulations and goodwill, we thank you deeply… In your own way, you too will be a part of what we do this day….
You are so right – you have ridden to the end of the world, to find your soul mate…go make her yours, legally!!!!!!

Ronnie the tears were running down my face this morning when I read your recent blogs. It brought back so many beautiful memories of the love I have for John… the way you write goes straight to the heart.
